Weight Loss Medicine, Built for Real Life.
A defined 6-week program for adults 30–65 who are tired of diet-cycle failures and want an actual medical path forward. Physician-supervised, lab-backed, and designed for how real people actually live — not for a 12-week transformation montage.
You’ve Tried Everything. Here’s What Those Things Miss.
Diets work until they don’t. A few weeks in, appetite comes back louder than before, willpower gets tired, and the numbers on the scale drift the wrong way. This isn’t a character flaw — it’s biology. Your body is wired to defend a set-point weight, and behavior alone rarely beats it.
GLP-1 medications work by changing that biology — specifically, the hormonal signals that govern hunger, fullness, and how your body processes food. Under physician supervision, with real lab work and honest follow-up, GLP-1 therapy can give you a window where steady progress is actually possible. AFJA is built around that window.
How GLP-1 Medication Actually Works.
GLP-1 is a hormone your body makes naturally. Medications based on it are clinically studied and widely prescribed for weight management. Here’s what they do — and don’t do.
Slows digestion
GLP-1 medications slow how quickly food leaves your stomach. That keeps you feeling full longer after smaller meals, which naturally reduces calorie intake without white-knuckle willpower.
Reduces appetite signaling
GLP-1 medications act on the brain’s appetite-regulation pathways, which can reduce hunger and the frequency of food cravings during the dosing window. Individual experience varies and is monitored by the affiliated physician.
Supports insulin response
GLP-1 medications improve how your body responds to insulin, which affects how you metabolize carbs. This is part of why clinical trials show metabolic markers improving alongside weight reduction.
Works with your body
Rather than forcing an artificial calorie deficit, GLP-1 therapy works with the hormonal system that actually regulates weight. That’s a fundamentally different approach than any diet you’ve tried.
Requires physician oversight
Dose titration, side-effect management, and individual response all require real clinical care. Algorithms and questionnaires aren’t enough — AFJA pairs you with a licensed physician for the full 6 weeks.
Not a miracle — a tool
GLP-1 medication is clinically studied, not magic. It works best alongside reasonable eating and movement habits. The program exists to set you up to use it well, not to sell you a fairy tale.
Week By Week, What to Expect.
No hype. Here’s what most patients actually experience. Individual results vary based on medical history, starting weight, and adherence.
Week 0 — Apply
A short, private application reviewed by a member of our team within 24 hours. You hear back either way. If accepted, you pay the $199 program fee to schedule the intake consult.
Week 1 — Intake consult & labs
A 30-minute video consult with a board-certified physician licensed in your state. History, goals, current medications, and a lab order for a metabolic panel and safety markers. Labs are typically completed and returned within 3–5 business days.
Week 1–2 — Protocol consult & first shipment
Once labs return, a second consult to review results together and confirm whether you’re a medical fit. If yes, the affiliated physician prescribes the appropriate medication — by default an FDA-approved GLP-1 medication, or, only when the chart documents a specific clinical reason, a compounded version from a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy. Medication ships to your door.
Weeks 2–3 — Starting dose
Starting doses are intentionally low to let your body adjust. Appetite shifts often begin within the first week or two. Some patients experience mild GI side effects as they adapt — your physician is directly accessible for questions.
Weeks 3–4 — First dose adjustment
Mid-program check-in with your physician. Based on how your body is responding — appetite, energy, side effects — the dose may be adjusted up or held steady. This is where individualized care matters.
Weeks 5–6 — Data and decision
Final week of the defined program. You and your physician review how it’s going, what the labs and scale actually show, and what comes next — continue, pause, or transition off. The decision is always yours.
Every Piece of the Program, One Price.
The 6-week program is all-inclusive. No hidden fees, no surprise charges at week 3. Everything you need to run a responsible GLP-1 protocol under medical supervision is covered.
Two physician consults
A 30-minute intake visit to set the plan and a second consult to review labs and design your protocol. Both with a board-certified physician licensed in your state.
Metabolic lab panel
Pre-treatment lab work — metabolic panel, lipid profile, and key safety markers — collected at a walk-in LabCorp or Quest near you. Results go directly to your physician.
GLP-1 medication
An FDA-approved GLP-1 medication is the default prescribing option. A compounded version, prepared by a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy, may be prescribed only when the chart documents a specific clinical reason. Either way, the medication is shipped discreetly to your door. Compounded medications are not themselves FDA-approved.
Direct physician messaging
Secure messaging with the physician for the full 6 weeks. Dose adjustments, side-effect questions, or anything that comes up — you’re not waiting on a call center.
Mid-program dose review
Structured check-in at the three-week mark where the physician reviews how your body is responding and adjusts the protocol. This is not a template; it’s real titration.
Final review and plan forward
End-of-program consult to review your labs, symptoms, and results — with an honest recommendation on what to do next. No auto-renewal, ever.
This Probably Isn’t Right For You If...
We’d rather tell you up front. The 6-week AFJA program isn’t a fit for everyone. Read this honestly.
...you’re looking for a quick fix.
GLP-1 therapy works with your body over weeks, not days. Week one is often underwhelming. If you need dramatic visible results by Friday, you’ll be disappointed — and we’d rather you skip the sale.
...you won’t do the labs.
Pre-treatment labs are non-negotiable for safe prescribing. If you won’t make a walk-in lab visit, the physician can’t responsibly prescribe and we can’t accept your application.
...you’re below medical eligibility for GLP-1 therapy.
GLP-1 medications for weight management have specific medical eligibility criteria. The affiliated physician evaluates each application against current standards and may decline if you don’t meet them. Refunds cover the medication + lab portion; consultation fees are earned at the time of service.
...you have certain medical histories.
Some conditions (personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, MEN2, pancreatitis, etc.) contraindicate GLP-1 therapy. Your physician evaluates this during the intake. If it’s not safe, we won’t prescribe.
...you’re pregnant or trying to conceive.
GLP-1 medications are not indicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or active attempts to conceive. Your physician will confirm this on the intake and advise accordingly.
...you want no medical oversight.
If you’re looking to buy medication without labs or physician consults, there are cheaper (and less safe) options. AFJA is the opposite — the oversight is the point.

Things Worth Knowing.
The questions most people ask before applying — answered honestly.
Is GLP-1 safe?+
For most adults who qualify medically, GLP-1 medications have a well-established safety profile from years of clinical use. Every medication has side effects and contraindications, and your physician will review your personal and family history in depth before prescribing. Honest answer: safe for most qualified patients, but "safe for everyone" isn’t a claim any responsible clinic makes.
What medication will I get?+
The default is an FDA-approved GLP-1 medication — the affiliated physician selects the specific FDA-approved product based on your history, goals, and response. A compounded version may be prescribed only when the patient’s chart documents a specific clinical reason (such as an FDA-approved formulation being unavailable to the patient or a clinical justification for a different formulation). Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies and are not themselves FDA-approved products.
How much weight will I lose?+
Individual results vary significantly based on starting weight, medical history, adherence, and individual biology. Clinical trials on GLP-1 medications show average weight reductions over longer time frames; six weeks is a shorter window and results within it vary widely. The honest framing: the 6-week program is designed to see whether your body responds, not to deliver a predetermined number on the scale.
What are the side effects?+
The most common are mild GI effects — nausea, occasional reflux, or changes in digestion — especially in the first week or two as your body adjusts. These typically ease with time and dose adjustment. Less common but more serious effects (pancreatitis, gallbladder issues) are why pre-treatment labs and physician oversight matter. Your physician explains these in detail during intake.
What happens after 6 weeks?+
You and your physician review what the labs and your experience show. From there, three options, all your choice: continue on a maintenance protocol (separate pricing), taper off under physician guidance, or stop entirely. There is no auto-renewal and no default next charge.
Do I need to diet or exercise?+
The medication works on its own, but results are best when combined with reasonable eating and movement habits. Your physician will share evidence-based guidance during the intake. Think of the 6 weeks as a window where progress is easier — good habits during that window compound later.
What if the labs say I’m not a fit?+
A responsible clinic doesn’t prescribe where it’s not medically indicated. If your labs or history rule you out, the affiliated physician will tell you honestly. Refunds cover the medication + lab portion of the $199 fee; consultation work performed is earned at the time of service.
Does insurance cover this?+
No. The program is cash-pay by design. GLP-1 medications for weight management are generally not covered by insurance without a qualifying diagnosis (such as type 2 diabetes). We provide itemized receipts for HSA/FSA submission.
Who reviews my application?+
Real humans on our team. Every application is read personally within 24 hours, and you hear back either way — accepted, not a fit, or with a follow-up question before a decision.
